Targets and procedures.

Cosmo Chemical does not use unethical minerals that cause human rights violations in compliance with the OECD’s Due Diligence Guidance regulations.
He joined the Responsible Minera Is Initiative (RMI) to solve social problems such as human rights violations, environmental destruction, and inflow of funds from disputed organizations during mineral mining.
At the same time, we have established a five-step procedure based on the OECD Due Diligence Guide to carry out responsible mineral supply chain management activities.
Responsible minerals are minerals mined in a way that respects human rights and the environment and fulfills social responsibility without being a source of funds for disputes.
The international community values corporate responsible mineral activities in consideration of the seriousness of African conflict areas where major minerals are mined (such as armed groups’ control of distribution networks, child labor, human rights violations, etc.).
It complies with the OECD guidelines for responsible supply chain due diligence and the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process created by RMI.

Responsible Sourcing Policy

Responsible Sourcing Policy (Eng Ver.):   Responsible Sourcing Policy

Present condition

Cosmo Chemical is taking the following measures in accordance with the “Cobalt Supply Chain Due diligence Standard”.
In accordance with the “OECD Due diligence Guidelines for Responsible Supply Chain of Minerals in Dispute Areas”, due diligence is conducted on related suppliers, and such improvement tasks are also managed for them.
In order for minerals in the supply chain to avoid supply and demand from conflict and high-risk areas, a system for securing supply chain transparency, risk identification, and third-party supply chain inspection is established and results are required.
Based on the Responsible Sourcing policy, we want to systematically manage supply chain risks and actively contribute to the improvement of fundamental supply chain risks to develop sustainable and responsible businesses.
